Second Nature Matte Porter Kitchen, Christchurch
A Gorgeous Matte True Handleless Porter Kitchen in Twynham Avenue, Christchurch, Dorset
Porter kitchen doors from Second Nature Kitchens are a fantastic contemporary true handleless door. Despite the simple streamlined slab design the Porter doors can be used to create a striking modern kitchen. In this Second Nature Porter kitchen our designers created a look which borrows from the elegant Art Deco style of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Whilst still creating a modern, on-trend kitchen.
Porter Matte Graphite and Porter Matte Porcelain colour doors were chosen for this True Handleless kitchen. Porter Matt Porcelain doors have been used on the base and wall units. Whilst the Matte Graphite doors feature on the tall units for contrast. Use of two different, yet complimentary colours for the kitchen cabinet doors is en-vogue. And has been used to cleverly frame the sink and tap area on the back wall. Creating a focal point for the room.
The chic Sergio Black Mirror Quartz worktops on the base units and island, combined with the graphite could make the room look dark and small. But during the day the room is well lit by the large glazed doors. And by night clever use of the artificial lighting ensures the room is bright, yet classy. Due to the LED lights under the wall units and counter top the smooth clean lines and matte finish of the porcelain Porter kitchen doors are emphasised.
The whole ensemble creates an ultra-modern, on-trend minimalist kitchen. The minimalist look may look great, but it doesn’t usually suit busy homes. However, this kitchen was designed with many clever uses of storage, so it just works. Functional and beautiful.
Our client in Christchurch also wanted the modern look and feel to filter down to the choice of kitchen appliances. So we took the opportunity to specify some new kitchen gadgets that appear on most kitchen wish lists. Including a Bosch built Serie 8 Coffee Centre, waste disposal unit, Caple under counter wine cabinet (with white glass door) and Quooker boiling water tap. The boiling water tap being the latest must have for the modern luxury kitchen.
The remainder of the cooking appliances are just as current. Featuring a Neff Compact Oven and Microwave, a NEFF Slide & Hide Oven, NEFF Warming Drawer (in stainless steel) and black glass topped NEFF Flexinduction hob. The dishwasher is fully integrated to hide it from view as is the A++ energy rated built in fridge.
Last but not least is our favourite feature of this particular Porter kitchen. Which is the Bosch Built-In Serie 8 Ceiling Hood, this was only released in May 2017. It too demands attention with its highly polished stainless steel, bold geometric form. Reflecting the streamlined surfaces and lights below. Another nod to the Art Deco influence running through the theme of this luxury kitchen design.
We have been blown away by the level of service, quality, Design knowledge and even price.
We never felt pushed into any decision and even though our budget changed several times we felt fully accommodated at all times.
The quality of the finished cabinets is far superior than any competitors, and the finished build is perfect as expected.
Overall the saving made on appliances resulted in the price being lower than any other compatible competition in the area.
A truly excellent service with a product that delivers an exceptional quality kitchen.
Thanks to all at Meridian. We cannot recommend you enough!Mr. Eames
